Soak up the tranquil Sicilian atmosphere, sunshine and sublime aromas of our unique citrus estate with a stay at La Villa, southern Sicily’s premier private luxury accommodation on the foothills of Mount Etna.

In addition to our 7 hectare estate of lemon orchards where we grow the variety limone femminello zagara bianca, we produce a wide range of typical regional fruits. These include succulent Sicilian oranges, grapefruits, peaches (including varieties such as pesca tabacchiere more familiarly known as Saturn or donut peaches), custard apples, pommegranites, avocados, plums, apricots, Japanese medlar fruit (loquats), bananas, prickly pears, blackberries, mulberries, figs and pecan nuts.

These tasty delicacies are all available for guests to enjoy during your stay at La Villa – both offered as freshly picked produce and through a selection of our own jams and conserves which we lovingly produce by hand ourselves. This has the added benefit of being locally harvested and zero travel miles to your table.

We showcase and serve all locally sourced and produced varieties of fruits and vegetables for you within our breakfasts – whether these are served fresh, in conserves, juices, smoothies or savoury tarts.

Around La Villa

Immediately surrounding La Villa is a lush Mediterranean garden landscaped with tropical greenery. With over ten different varieties of mature palm trees, hibiscus trees, succulents and tropical plants, this abundance of nature combines to provide relaxing surroundings for guests whilst watching the glorious sunsets afforded to Sicily with a glass of local wine.

The pool area is dominated not only of the views of Mount Etna in the background but by a large lava grotto encompassing the pool which was formed by large volcanic boulders left by an eruption dating back to 1000 B.C. Throughout the estate guests are welcome to pick fruit straight from our trees in our orchard, or visit the vegetable and herb garden where the aroma of fresh mint and basil fills the air.

Our Rooms

Four uniquely styled rooms were tastefully designed and decorated for our guest’s enjoyment and pleasure.  Every room in La Villa provides a distinctive atmosphere.

• Marilyn Suite

Comprising of the largest of our bedrooms and located on the first floor, with stunning views of Mount Etna from a private terrace, the Marilyn Suite is beautifully furnished with antiques and provides guests with both luxurious comfort and space. Often chosen as the Bridal Suite by our wedding clients, this room is complimented by a large en-suite bathroom with hydro massage shower. This suite can be adapted to accommodate up to three guests using a King Size bed and single bed.

• Palm Room

Overlooking the garden with floor to ceiling height folding windows providing direct access to the gardens, the Palm Room is a large serene space with a feature mosaic tiled walk in en-suite shower room.
It is the perfect space for those who enjoy the lush botanical views of our beautiful grounds all from the comfort of a Queen sized bed surrounded by bespoke pieces of furniture.

• Corinthia Suite

With spectacular views of Mount Etna from one private terrace area, and views of the lemon estate from the opposite terrace, this first floor double aspect suite comprises of two bedrooms – a Queen sized room and a large single room, plus small study area. Both share a spacious bathroom with hydro massage bathtub and shower. This is a flexible suite and can accommodate up to five guests with ease and is perfect for a larger group of guests or family.

• The Nest

One of our most popular rooms is the cosy and romantic ‘Nest’. Situated in the top of a detached stone turret style building away from the main house, and overlooking the pool area, it is a split level space with a cosy bedroom area located above a small dressing room study area and en-suite bathroom. Popular with couples and children alike, we like to think of this as a small but perfectly formed hideaway!
