With consideration for the unique nature between Carinthia and Salzburg Land, the Hinteregger family’s hotel offers sustainable and almost car-free holidays – certified with the Austrian Eco-label.

The Hotel

The light wood design of the hotel Das KATSCHBERG, newly renovated in summer 2020, runs like a line through the entire house.

In the newly designed rooms and suites, lots of wood, fine fabrics and unique natural stone washbasins ensure cosy and stylish living with panoramic views of the Nockberge mountains to the south and the Hohe Tauern mountains to the north.

The scent of stone pine and oak wood accompanies guests all the way to the wellness area. Large framed pictures of pressed hay and wild flowers decorate the entire wellness area, hay shingles and an open fireplace make the individual areas really cosy.

VEGAN ALPIN by Timo Franke

In the hotel restaurant, in addition to regional delicacies and Alpe-Adria culinary delights, the kitchen team around chef Richard creates climate-friendly, purely plant-based delicacies – the “VEGAN ALPIN by Timo Franke” climate meal. Our head waiter recommends fine wines from the wine cellar or one of the handcrafted beers from the family-run Katschbeer brewery – the highest brewery in Austria.
