The Schlossgut Oberambach operates a uniquely green “Farm to Table” food policy and concentrates on events such as conferences, green meetings, celebrations and weddings.
Of course, holiday and gourmet guests are also welcome. Our philosophy of always acting respectfully and appreciatively towards the environment remains paramount.
From “Farm to Table”
“Organic” has been a matter of course on this wealthy country estate for more than 20 years and now goes one step further: “Farm to Table” is our new motto which, in addition to consideration of seasonality and absolute freshness, also pays respect to local farmers and suppliers. The chef cooperates closely with local producers. Our guests are always delighted to discover where the ingredients that later end up on their plates come from. Be they from the castle BBQ or in our classic couscous salad with vegan lemon curd, with antipasti from our own vegetable garden.
Vegetarian vegan cuisine
Lunch is exclusively vegan/vegetarian.
In the evening, in addition to our “Oberambacher Salatteller”, vegans will always find at least one other vegan dish on the menu. A vegan variant of most other non vegan dishes on the menu can be “conjured up” by request.
Sustainability is the main concept of our conference programme: meetings are “green” in two senses.
One: When the weather is fine, groups can gather in the spacious garden.
Two: Group exercises in the open air such as forest bathing, stand-up paddling or herbal hiking are also available. Healthy organic food and drink in the breaks round off our Green Meetings.
Since the beginning of 2021, there are two interactive multi-touch displays from weframe. These facilitate teamwork considerably – regardless of whether the participants are on site or not.
Say „I do”
Small wedding parties of up to 30 people are just right at Schlossgut Oberambach. The sunny terrace with a view of the mountains provides a special setting for a relaxed get-together at the champagne reception. For dinner – either in the winter garden or under the open sky – regional, seasonal and, of course, organic dishes are served. For a bit of togetherness, the couple retreats to one of the swinging loungers in the castle garden to enjoy the sundowner together over Lake Starnberg.

Schlossgut Oberambach on Lake Starnberg in Upper Bavaria is an organic hotel with a sustainable concept. The listed manor house also offers event and conference facilities at the gates of Munich. The 40 individually furnished rooms and suites are free of electrosmog and allergy-friendly. The motto “farm to table” pays respect to both the processed products and the local farmers. The hotel’s own vegetable field complies with the regulations of Demeter e.V.
